Food and drink manufacturers should stengthen partnerhships throughout the supply chain, the chair of the Oxford Farming Conference told FoodManufacture.co.uk.

Speaking at the two-day conference last week, Cedric Porter, chair of the 2012 conference and supply chain consultant, underlined the importance of strengthing partnerships throughout the food chain - from farmers and food processors and manufacturers to consumers.

Uncertain world

Porter explained that forging stronger relationships would be necessary to safeguard supplies of competitively-priced, high-quality and sustainably-produced food in an increasingly turbulent and uncertain world.
