Bakkavör makes long service awards

The employees, who work at its Freshcook site based at Holbeach St Marks in Lincolnshire and its Cucina Sano site, in the same county, were awarded with gift vouchers for over five, 10 and 15 years of service.

James Faulkner, Fresh Meals Solutions head of operations said: “These awards mark just one of the ways we are able to show our appreciation to our employees for their hard work and commitment to the business. It is their valuable input, commitment and teamwork that helps us progress as a business.”​

Standard practice​

A Bakkavor sposkeman said that long service awards for 25 years are a standard practice for Bakkavör sites around the country.

However an increasing number of sites are beginning to reward employees for five, 10, 15 and 20 years of service.

The value of awards varies between sites, with employees usually given gift vouchers.

Employees at the Fresh Meals Solutions who have worked for 15 years are given vouchers equivalent to £150.
