Steve's new venture no Gamble
Own-label supplier Steve’s Cakes went into liquidation in June, a process managed by Belfast-based insolvency company FGS McClure Watters.
However, Gamble Foods, which was registered with Companies House in April, is now operating from its 20,000sq ft plant in Antrim, Northern Ireland, with 30 employees retained.
Products branded Steve’s cakes remain on sale in supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s.
Steve’s Cakes was one of Asda’s top own-label cakes suppliers, and also supplied supermarkets Tesco and Sainsbury’s, as well as foodservice companies.
