Robert McLean, dry goods manager at the site, said: "Up to 35 lorries are unloaded daily, which contain palletised cases, empty bottles and labels that must be stored, picked and then fed into the bottling hall."​

Barloworld provides total battery management (TBM), which incorporates Hoppecke's Trak-air technology. McLean says: "Barloworld's TBM has reduced utility bills and charging time and maximised truck availability."​

A fleet of electric counterbalance trucks operates in the dry goods warehouse, including new compact Hyster E1.75XMS four-wheel trucks with cushion tyres.

Gary Gibson, finished goods manager, said: "The drivers like their comfort, visibility and manoeuvrability features such as the reverse horn button on the rear handle make a big difference."​

Hyster's DuraMatch transmission delivers smooth direction changes without using the brake pedal or stopping the truck. This reduces brake and tyre wear in the continual forward/reverse operation.
