Beans means Fairtrade
Geo Organics has produced the first ever Fairtrade Baked Beans, made using white kidney beans grown by farmers in China.
The farmers belong to the Jurihe/Zhalutequi Nature Village Farmer Association, in one of China's poorest rural regions in inner Mongolia. The Fairtrade-certified cooperative is made up of 39 farmers who farm on around 2,000 hectares and produce around 3,000t of pulses a year.
