Findus Group MD Mark Escolme quits after only 12 months
Mark Escolme has quit as UK frozen foods MD at Findus Group after only 12 months in the role, with current chief marketing manager Leendert den Hollander appointed as his permanent replacement.

Chris Britton, CEO, Findus Group, said: “Mark Escolme has decided, for personal reasons, to leave the business to spend more time with his young family. I would like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank Mark for his contribution to the business.”

Reporting to Britton, den Hollander will head the Findus Group's frozen food operation in the UK and Ireland, where it includes the well-known Young’s and Findus brands, and employs over 1,200 people across more than 10 sites.

He joined Findus Group in December 2009 and laid out its marketing, sales and innovation strategy. A corporate statement said he had already been instrumental in establishing a consumer-centric culture, and driving "bigger and better innovations" across all markets.

He previously worked at Procter & Gamble for 15 years, most recently as global director of its household cleaners portfolio.
