TDG has pumped £1m into its cold store at the Altens industrial estate in Aberdeen.

The plant, which uses ozone-friendly refrigerants, is now one of the most energy-efficient across TDG's network, claimed regional manager for Scotland Graham Hutton.

“Following the closure of a local cold storage provider, we have shown our commitment to the North East of Scotland and in particular the fishing and meat industries, by providing additional frozen capacity and enhanced blast freezing in the area."

TDG’s shared user network includes 40 sites across the UK and more than 3m square feet of frozen, chilled and ambient warehousing.
