CADWorx 2010, the latest version of Intergraph's computer-aided process plant design system for smaller projects, is now compatible with the latest version of AutoCAD, AutoCAD 2011.

CADWorx 2010 includes a parametric pipe-support modeller for user-defined intelligent pipe supports, as well as new steel shapes, import and export capabilities for CIS/2 format files, and the ability to allow structural steel models to be created from project databases.

Other CADWorx 2010 features include a flange look-up table for ANSI standard flanges; an insulation feature; and improved process and instrumentation drawing capabilities.

The CADWorx plant design suite offers intelligent drawing-to-database connectivity, advanced levels of design automation, and easy-to-use design tools for the food and beverage industry. It also offers the industry's first truly two-way link between computer aided design (CAD) and engineering analysis tools such as pipe stress analysis and pressure vessel and exchanger analysis.

For larger projects, Intergraph also offers SmartPlant Enterprise, that provides full design, construction, materials and engineering data management capabilities needed for the creation, safe operation and maintenance, of projects.
