New GEA separator has clear benefits for wine, grapemust and fruit juice

GEA Westfalia Separator has developed a new separator for the clarification of wine, grapemust and fruit juice. In must and fruit juice clarification, the GSE 100 delivers a capacity of up to 10,000l/h, in wine clarification capacities can reach 20,000l/h.

The GSE 100 supplements the slightly smaller GSE 75 model. The machines can operate as clarifiers as well as polishers. Thanks to the self-cleaning bowl, the machine is suitable for automatic cleaning-in-place. The bowl is opened and closed hydraulically to eject solids. The feed and discharge are designed to suit the application but are incorporated in a closed line system. This minimises oxygen intake.

The product feed and discharge in the bowl are hydrohermetically sealed and not equipped with mechanical gaskets. The use of such a hydrohermetic feed minimises the negative impact of the shear forces. The separating efficiency and product quality are consequently optimal.
