Desperately seeking food firms

Related tags Energy Thermodynamics

A researcher at the University of Bath is looking for food and drink firms to participate in a six-month project looking at ways to improve on-site energy efficiency.

The project will focus on energy monitoring and targeting together with energy recovery potential. It is being conducted by Jonathan Norman from the Sustainable Energy Research Team within the university's Department of Mechanical Engineering as part of his PhD studies.

Norman is about half-way through the three-year research, which is being sponsored by the Great Western Research Alliance, EDF Energy and EDF R&D.

He is particularly interested in hearing from food and drink companies located close to Bath that are large users of heat energy. There would be no costs involved to the participating company, apart from some assistance from relevant staff.
