For the first time, machinery supplier Kern says it is offering a range of vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machines, in addition to high-speed flow-wrappers, to its UK food industry customers.
The Dolzan VFFS equipment range from Italy includes options such as vacuum packing, flat-bottom and other stand-up pouches. The machines can be combined with multihead or linear weighers, or different volumetric dosing systems.
In horizontal form-fill-sealing, Kern supplies a range from fellow Italian firm Tecno Pack. "Here, we are launching a machine, which is new to the UK, for high-speed flow-wrapping applications particularly in bakery at speeds up to 1,000ppm," said national sales manager Tony Bradley.
