ROSEMARY EXTRACT FOR HOT DRINKS
Vitiva has launched AquaROX 10, a water-soluble rosemary extract for clear, hot-filled beverages, which maintains its oxygen radical absorbance capacity activity even at high processing temperatures.
Traditional rosemary extracts are not typically suitable for such beverage applications due to the undesirable taste, flavour and colour they add to the final product, whereas AquaROX 10 has a bland taste and natural colour, says the firm.
"AquaROX 10 is a breakthrough antioxidant ingredient for a wide range of applications including clear and hot filled beverages. This can help beverage manufacturers to create a tasty and healthy drink without any technical obstacles."
AquaROX 10 is standardised to 10% rosmarinic acid, heat stable and can replace green tea in beverage applications, said the firm.
