New operations manager at Beacon Foods
Ingredients supplier Beacon Foods has appointed a new operations manager.
Jonathan Hayward has joined the company after many years of experience in the food industry with the likes of Sunjuice in Llantrisant, RHM, Sun Valley Foods and the Speciality Sauce Company.
His new role will see him take control of the production, transport, technical and accounts departments, freeing managing director Edward Gough to focus on sales and new product development.
“We are trading in a difficult economic climate, so my role will be to manage our cost base and to look at different manufacturing techniques,” he said. “Sales are going to be hard earned this year, so we must ensure that we make efficient use of materials, time and resources and eliminate waste.”
