Nestle signs supply deal for LPR pallets
Nestle has elected to grant the pallet-pooling operator LPR approved supplier status for all its European divisions, including three based in the UK.
The agreement complements LPR's long-standing supply contracts with Nestle Waters in France and the Benelux region. LPR's pallets are used for the distribution of Vittel, Contrex, Perrier and Valvert in these areas.
"LPR has established itself as a major player within the wider European market in recent years and has proven to be a responsive and flexible supply chain partner," said Martin Weder, Nestle European logistics manager.
"We look forward to further development of the partnership-based relationship with LPR. The European framework agreement allows each Nestle division to ask for tenders from alternative pallet pool suppliers according to its own specific business criteria."
