Interfood Technology has introduced the new Food Robotics slicers from Weber to help processors automate food handling.

Weber Food Robotics can be customised to satisfy a variety of complex tasks, serving both single and multiple slicing systems. The systems can work with all major lines of packaging equipment, using straight in-feed or with product turned 90°

Current uses include the precise placement of sliced meat portions on to sandwich breads and pizza, as well as the accurate overlapping and placement of different meats into a single presentation for packaging. The slicers offer manually loaded options through to fully automated lines, with slicing speeds from 400 cuts a minute to 2,000 cuts a minute.

The high-end 904 slicer offers a number benefits. It is fully automatic and can be fed automatically with sausage, cheese and ham products of 1200mm, 3200mm and endless length.

Logs as well as sensitive products or those with difficult shapes are fed automatically side-by-side or with separation. Short loading times and a speed of 1,600 rounds a minute make the new 904 the fastest slicer in its class, claims Interfood Technology.

The movable idle cut head ensures high yield and minimum giveaway. The blade head housing and shear bar are also adjustable, allowing the slicer to continuously cut perfect slices even if the blade is in intensive operation.
