Consumers who love the unmistakable taste of beetroots, but can't be bothered with the formalities of plucking them from a glass jar may be interested in Baxters' latest innovation.

Tapping into the burgeoning market for informal eating, Baxters has launched two new product ranges: Baxters Beetroot Pouches and Baxters Dipping Relishes.

The pouches contain bite-sized wedges of delicately marinated beetroot lightly coated in olive oil vinaigrette in three varieties: Chilli and Lime; Honey and Cardamom; and Garlic and Rosemary.

Keeping the theme casual, Baxters has also launched four flavours of dipping relishes: Crushed Tomato and Italian Pesto; Red Pepper and Pineapple with a hint of Ginger; Spicy Red Onion with chopped Coriander and Cucumber and Mint with diced Shallots.

Kerr Arthur, marketing director at Baxters, said: "We've created these new products to fit seamlessly into modern lifestyles and to suit the way people like to eat.

"The new ranges have been developed to match up-to-date British tastes. They're suitable for summer dining or light bites later in the year, and the format provides an easy, convenient and mess-free way to enjoy these new products."

Baxters Beetroot Pouches are available in Tesco and both ranges are available in Asda stores nationwide.
