Lord Saatchi has confirmed that he will step down as Finsbury Food Group's chairman, and from the board, with effect from April 30. He will be replaced by David Marshall who has been deputy chairman of the group since its creation in 2002.

Marshall will be assisted in his role by Paul Monk, who continues as deputy chairman - an appointment he took up in February 2007.

Lord Saatchi has been the chairman of Finsbury Food Group for more than five years. During that time he has overseen the company's development into a major player in the UK cake, bread and gluten free markets.
