The ultimate consumer convenience pack has arrived in the form of a flow-wrap that you can open cleanly - with your teeth.
Sigpack Systems, part of the Bosch group, has created the motorist's dream: a pack for snacks and bars which can be pulled apart along a lateral coldseal seam. A spokesman for the company explains: "We use a standard machine equipped with a special module. It works with a single film roll: perforated, folded and sealed in the module."
Bosch claims there is no loss in line efficiency. "The speed is 800ppm or 80m per minute, which is faster than most of our applications," says the spokesman.
