Two recently completed abattoir construction projects have both installed Sikafloor Purcem flooring systems.

One installation was at the new Hendersons Abattoir in Linlithgow, Scotland. Here the specification required a floor surface able to withstand steam cleaning and exposure to blood acids in a continually wet environment.

A similarly demanding specification was met at the abattoir for Laverstock Park Produce in Hampshire where Purcem 20 was installed as the surface for the 1,200m² concrete floor slab.

Purcem 20 is a water-based, coloured, polyurethane resin floor screed.

It creates a jointless surface that can withstand daily steam cleaning and is slip resistant, highly resistant to chemicals and abrasion.
