Dragon eats tough jobs
Datalogic, the hand-held barcode reader specialist, has launched a new family of Dragon hand-held laser scanners designed to withstand the toughest environmental conditions without losing barcode reading performance and reliability.
The Dragon family is ideal for any environment where high scan volumes are critical and environmental conditions are extreme. The scanners can withstand a two metre drop and can operate in temperatures down to -30°C. The Dragon also has an ingress protection rating of IP64, meaning it is totally protected against dust and water.
The Dragon beats all previous read rate records by offering not one but three alerts. In addition to two 'good read' green light-emitting diodes on the device to verify a scan, a further green spot appears on the actual bar code, making it ideal for guaranteed verification in noisy or low-light environments.
As many as 32 Dragon devices can be connected to the same base, and up to 255 guns in a network of 16 base stations with seamless roaming.
