Hygienic mixer design as standard

Silverson is planning to launch a completely new range of in-line mixers which will feature hygienic aspects offered by the company's special order UHLS ultra-hygienic in-line mixers as standard.

The UHLS range was developed to meet the advanced clean-in-place and sterilise-in-place requirements demanded by more hygiene sensitive sectors. The mixers are designed specifically to comply with the most stringent hygiene standards.

They offer all the qualities and flexibility of Silverson's standard multi-purpose in-line units, but include many additional features, including: a self-draining bottom outlet; single piece inlet plate and stator; and hygienic metal bellows mechanical shaft seal. All wetted parts are in 316L stainless steel with crevice-free construction.

The units, which accept any of Silverson's interchangeable rotor/stator workheads and screens, have an electropolished finish to a roughness of 0.5Ra.
