Three new appointments have strengthened the team at Improve, the food and drink sector skills council.

Terry Fennell, 39, has been brought on board as learning frameworks manager, based at Improve’s head office in York. He is working to develop the content and structure of new vocational qualifications in food manufacturing. He will also revise the frameworks for existing relevant qualifications, ensuring that they deliver skills to suit employers’ needs.

Fennell has been joined in York by 46-year-old Heather Stephenson, who has taken on the newly created role of skills development adviser.

Bob Jones, 51, has been appointed operations manager with key responsibilities for the east of England, east Midlands, and London and the south east. He is working to identify the skills needs of food and drink manufacturers.
