Hubbard Transport Refrigeration has moved into a new area with the launch of its largest ever unit for the 10-15t truck market.

The 720 Alpha, a direct drive refrigeration system, is designed for the transport of chilled and frozen goods down to -25°C. It is aimed at markets ranging from long haul to the grocery delivery sector. Available in single and multi-temperature versions, it uses environmentally friendly refrigerant HFC R404a and has a corrosion resistant frame.

The company claims that the 720 Alpha's low running costs, superior temperature control and fast temperature recovery times, combined with very quiet operation, make it the ideal solution for multi-drop, multi-temperature urban delivery trucks. The unit also benefits from an in-cab controller.

Hubbard has also designed a refrigeration system for vehicles weighing up to 10t. The 520 Alpha is said to be unrivalled when it comes to safe storage and fast pull-down times, a vital factor in the growing multi-drop, multi-temperature grocery delivery sector.
