New group operations director at Daniels Chilled Foods

Jim Watson​ has been appointed group operations director at Daniels Chilled Foods.

In his new role, he will work across all brands including New Covent Garden soup, porridge, sauce and risotto.

He will also be responsible for the successful operation of the fresh fruit factory in Leeds and the Johnsons fresh fruit juice factory in Headcorn, Kent.

He previously worked for Orchard House Foods, which supplies Marks and Spencer with fruit juice and fresh fruit.

Daniels Chilled Foods' chief executive, Rob Burnett said: “It is a very exciting time for Daniels Chilled Foods as we seek to consolidate our position as the UK's fastest growing chilled food manufacturer. Jim will continue to ensure that as the business grows the quality of the products and efficiency of production is maximised at all times to help us maintain this position in the market.”
