Kliklok-Woodman has introduced several new features to further enhance its successful range of CertiWrap wrap-around cartoning machines, the CertiWrap C80 and C150, aimed at the ready meals market.

Manufactured from stainless steel, the C150 machine uses cantilevered construction for maximum access and hygiene, while the patented rotary feeder can efficiently handle a wide variety of board types including recycled material.

Inherent in the design of the C150 is its ability to handle a wide range of carton profiles, including full sleeve, partial sleeve, watch straps and other derivatives.

While the C150 operates at speeds of up to 150 cartons per minute, a slower and more cost effective version is available in the C80.

New features on both include a quick three-dimensional size change capability, which is now achievable in less than 10 minutes - greatly enhancing production up-time and operational efficiencies, says the company.

In addition, CertiWrap cartoners are now able to accommodate tray 'doming', where the film lid of a ready meal tray, for example, expands in production.

The new range now offers a choice of infeed, including a 'smart belt' system to provide a non-stop random infeed that avoids queuing products and improves size change. CertiWrap equipment also has the versatility to handle both round bowls and rectangular-shaped containers on the same machine.
