A new tapas range is being rolled out by Petty, Wood under its own brand label Epicure, following the launch of its definitive condiment range in August.

The products have been developed to attract new users to the brand, who may be unfamiliar with its heritage and image of manufacturing more traditional food items.

The tapas range is an ambient line of five different fish-based dishes, developed to reflect the diverse nature of a typical Spanish tapas menu, which are ideal as appetisers or as a light meal.

The collection comprises Stuffed Squid in Garlic Sauce, Octopus in Garlic Sauce, Mussels in Spanish Tomato Sauce, Mackerel Fillets in Spanish Tomato Sauce and Mackerel Fillets in Spanish Pickle SaucePetty, Wood has worked with several manufacturers to produce the range using authentic recipes and premium ingredients, with product prices starting at 79p.

John Holland-Pemble, Epicure brand manager, said: “Initial sales have exceeded all our expectations, so we anticipate the range being a huge success.”

The Epicure brand contains over 200 products and was established in 1891. It has since repositioned itself to provide independent retailers with premium own-label products.
