Ready cooked IQF rice and pasta

A range of cooked, quick frozen rice and pasta products are now being offered to ready meal producers by Icefresh Foods.

Because they are individually quick frozen (IQF), the rice and pastas are free flowing, making them easy to handle, portion and dispense.

Peter Stott of Icefresh says: "By using our frozen rice and pasta, manufacturers no longer need to buy in dry goods and do the cooking themselves. It leaves them free to concentrate on other stages in the production process."

The pasta is sourced from specialist pasta makers who combine traditional handcrafted preparation with modern food production techniques. The freshly made pasta is cooked then individually quick frozen to preserve optimum taste and texture.

The quality is consistent and breakage and chipping is reduced to a minimum.

Pasta varieties available include fusilli, penne, tagliatelli, macaroni and gnocchi. The rice varieties are wild, basmati, yellow, long grain, short grain and risotto.
