While its colourful cartoon packaging screams out to children, Dagwood's shaved lunch meat from US meat processor Land O'Frost has an even more impressive selling point. The package incorporates EZ Peel/Reseal technology from packaging specialist Curwood, removing the need for scissors when opening the pack.
This saves time and promotes safety, appealing to children and their parents. When the product is opened, it exposes a tacky layer which can be used to reseal the package without using zippers or tapes.
Curwood says that the EZ Peel/Reseal film is cost efficient because it can run on manufacturers' existing packaging equipment without modifications and without affecting speeds.
