Bespoke oil addition system produces cheeses that help maintain healthy hearts

An oil addition system, designed and installed by Moody Systems, is helping to produce Angel Technology's award-winning cholesterol lowering alternative to cheese -- Heartily Healthy.

The equipment enables vegetable oil to be added to, and mixed into, skimmed milk which, following a traditional cheddar cheese making recipe, results in a hard cheese alternative that can lower cholesterol.

"We are delighted to have won the UK best food product 2004 award at SIAL which is testament to the innovation and complexity behind this product," says Richard Dodd, Angel's operations director.

"Thanks to Moody Systems we have developed a leading piece of equipment which ensures we remain market leaders."
