Manufacturers want more reliable equipment and extended product shelf-life

Liberty Process is establishing itself as the UK & Eire representative of Lee Industries which manufactures the Lee/Groen range of steam jacketed cooking vessels.

David Henn, director of Liberty Process says: “The opportunity to represent Lee/Groen is an exciting one for us as it enhances our portfolio. The Lee/Groen kettle is well known in the industry for quality and energy efficiency. Prospective customers will also be pleasantly surprised at the price.”

Also joining its ready meals equipment portfolio is the ground-breaking range of in-line rotary steam blanchers and cooker/coolers from Lyco Manufacturing. These patented systems are used to blanch rice, pasta, vegetables or noodles. They also provide an in-line solution to the cooking and cooling of pouched or bagged ready meal sauces.

The Lyco machines have lower maintenance and running costs, they also achieve higher throughputs, up to 15% higher product recovery and produce a superior quality product with a longer shelf-life than more traditional blanching systems.

The company also represents the Levati Food Tech range of retort and bag-filling machinery, which can produce vacuum-packed bags of up to 5kg and allow the customer to produce an extended shelf-life product in an ambient or chilled format. Levati will introduce a new high-speed pouch filling machine at Interpack 2005 in Düsseldorf.
