A sure-fire way of protecting against unknown dangers

New fire-resistant panels for use in chilled and ambient temperature operations

With the recent fire at Premier Foods' Branston Pickle plant bringing the issue of fire safety to the forefront of manufacturers' minds, Eurobond Laminates has improved the quality of its FireMaster panels.

The company's Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB)-approved panel system offers the ideal solution for use in chilled and ambient temperature applications where fire ratings of up to two hours are essential.

FireMaster panels contain a Rockwool core, which Eurobond says gives better performance over comparable polyisocyanur (PIR) composite panelling. They offer superb fire properties, excellent insulation because of Rockwool's thermal and acoustic properties and no chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) are used in their manufacture. As Rockwool is completely rot-proof, the panels also don't encourage mould or bacteria growth, making them suitable for food company installations.

Eurobond has also recently launched its FireMaster insulated sliding door, which offers one-hour insulation, and which it says is the first of its type to achieve LPCB product approval.
