Alpro signs up with Culina Logistics
Soya milk products manufacturer Alpro, part of the Vandemoortele Group, has appointed Culina Logistics to provide it with a complete primary logistics service in the UK.
The integrated chilled food and drink supply chain specialist is handling all collections of stock from Alpro's Belgian manufacturing plant and a production facility at Kettering, through to order picking and distribution to retailers.
The shared-user, next day service operates 24h a day, seven days a week to ensure product is accurately despatched to nearly 200 regional distribution centres. Orders are received by electronic data interchange and distributed by 450 deliveries each week.
All orders can be monitored via Culina's secure customer website to provide real-time management information.
Culina's other customers include companies such as Andros, Danone, Delamere Dairy, Fiorucci, Kraft, A McLelland, So Good, Sodebo and Tropicana.
