A £2m extension to Volac's whey processing facility at Felinfach in Wales, jointly funded with the Welsh Assembly and the Welsh Development Agency, has boosted production capacity of whey protein isolate.
Volac, which also recently opened a factory in the Netherlands, claimed it was now one of Europe's leading producers of protein and lactose based products, including its branded nutritional milk replacers.
