Fold or shrink? It's a wrap
UK machine-builder Marden Edwards has acquired neighbouring shrink-wrap equipment specialist Wraps UK, in a move which will allow the company to supply high- and low-speed options for both fold and shrink-wrapping.
Marden Edwards has a track record in supplying low- and medium-speed fold-wrapping machinery worldwide, and supplies high-speed fold-wrap lines from German company Petri. It is also sole UK distributor for Kallfass high-speed shrink-wrap machinery, with the Wraps UK acquisition now meeting lower-speed requirements. Director Jonathan Edwards says: "This acquisition means Marden Edwards can now clearly claim to be the complete solutions provider."
According to Marden Edwards, Wraps equipment has been used to pack food products as diverse as pizza, eggs, water and confectionery.
