Pantek has launched a 'rapid adoption programme' for products such as InTouch

The cost of installing software control systems continues to fall with the news of a new 'rapid adoption programme' for the ArchestrA technology based FactorySuite A2product, from Wonderware distributor Pantek. Wonderware is a subsidiary of the UK engineering group Invensys.

The latest initiative comprises three main elements to encourage take-up of the product. The UK list price of the FactorySuite A2has been reduced across a range of products, including InTouch version 9.0, a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system widely used across the food sector. InTouch is used by Market Drayton-based Müller Dairy and the Dudley Brewery in Wolverhampton.

Pantek's offer includes the new scaled-down FactorySuite A2package for smaller users requiring a capability for 250 input/outputs, scaleable up to 100,000I/O. Systems can now be bought at under £3,500 in licence fees.

Pantek has also launched a starter programme for the product, under which companies can install a free trial system on site under certain conditions, and it is running free seminars.
