Marinades and seasonings can add visual appeal to barbecued meats

Seasonings specialist RAPS has produce a Wild Garlic marinade suitable for barbecued meat, fish or for use with pasta dishes.

According to the manufacturer, wild garlic has a similar taste to conventional garlic and more chefs are using the aromatic herb to marinate meat, poultry or fish.

The marinade can also be used as a pesto-like ingredient for pasta, for vegetable dishes or soups.

RAPS has also added Colorado seasoning to its Decor range designed for barbecued meats.

Colorado is a coarse-textured seasoning based on a colourful blend of pepper, onion, leek, garlic, carrots, pretzel and salt which imparts an aromatic flavour.

There are over 30 seasonings in the Decor range, many of them produced with encapsulated salt, to prevent the loss of meat juice while the meat is on display.
