United Biscuits has appointed Martin Glenn as its new ceo with effect from May 6.

Glenn takes over from Benoit Testard who will leave the group on April 19, following 14 years with the firm.

Achieved the objectives

Glenn had been the ceo of Iglo Group since 2006 until he left the role in January, “having achieved the objectives he set out.”

Before this he was ceo of Pepsico UK and Ireland for three years and of Walkers Snack Foods between 1992 and 2006.

David Fish, Chairman of United Biscuits, said: “I am delighted to welcome Martin to United Biscuits.  He has an outstanding record of success at both Birds Eye Iglo and Pepsico UK and Ireland.  We look forward to him leading UB through the next stage of its successful development both in Western Europe and globally.”
