Video highlights of the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards 2016

The best of the best in the food and drink manufacturing industry were celebrated at the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards (FMEAs) earlier this month. Enjoy the video highlights of the big night with this exclusive video show reel.

Our video highlights capture some of the best moments of the Venetian-themed evening, at the Hilton on Park Lane, London on November 2.

Included are the drinks reception before the awards, and the awards presentation, as all 14 award winners received their Oscars.

The pre-awards entertainment came from opera-singing duo Scarlet Divas, who also feature in the show reel, before handing the stage over to the celebrity host and television presenter Carol Smillie.

‘Mash Direct always delivers’

Northern Ireland ready meals and prepared vegetable supplier Mash Direct won the overall award. The judges’ said: “Its concept of mashed vegetables and what you can do with them is incredible”, and “Mash Direct always delivers”. Watch the moment Mash Direct director Jack Hamilton accepted the award in the video.

Following the awards, guests were seen enjoying the event’s casino, bar and photo booth. The dancefloor opened, and guests showed the camera their best (or worst) dance moves.

You can read the full list of winners and finalists here .

The FMEA category sponsors were Appetite Learning , b3 jobs, Dasic, FoodMan Jobs, KDH Projects, Lauras International, Michael Page, Sanderson, AGRO Merchants Group, Celsius Projects, Dalziel Ingredients and Dawn Foods.
