Bakkavor on the hunt for graduates and undergraduates
Twenty graduate vacancies and 17 undergraduate placements across various locations in the UK are up for grabs for individuals looking to build a career in the food industry with a path into future leadership roles.
The announcement comes as Bakkavor welcomed more than 100 young people across its sites in September 2024 cohort, including 72 apprentices, 18 graduates and 17 placement students.
Diversity hires
In keeping with its commitment to diversity and inclusion, 40% of the graduate and placement hires this year were female as it progressed toward a more balanced workforce in traditionally male-dominated sectors.
Bakkavor’s UK Graduate Programme acts as an accelerated route into management, with its ultimate purpose being to get our graduates into senior level management roles.
Every role in the three-year Graduate Programme involves a location rotation and puts the cohort through a bespoke six-step leadership programme, led by professional leadership training company Fieri.
Next steps
Donna-Maria Lee, group HR director at Bakkavor Group, said: “National Graduate Week is a fantastic opportunity for young people considering their next steps to discover the exceptional opportunities available in 2025. This year, we are delighted to welcome over 100 young people into our business, many of whom have only recently started their journey with us.
“Our ongoing investment in talent through apprenticeships, graduate programmes, and industrial placements is crucial to shaping the future success of our business. By offering valuable learning experiences along with competitive rewards, we consistently attract talented individuals, reinforcing our position as a leader in the fresh prepared foods industry.”
National Graduate Week supports recent and soon to be graduates through a range of live events, resources and workshops to ensure they can make well-informed decisions on their next steps.
