As we gear up towards Food Manufacture’s Spotlight Series week (20-24 March) which focuses on food security, the grocery sector can enjoy another excellent event from William Reed, a digital, high value data and events business serving the food and drinks sector.

Taking place on Tuesday 14 March, our sister title, The Grocer, will be welcoming a number of high profile guests to discuss everything the industry needs to know about Gen Z.

Presenters include Jamie Laing, Huel and Meta, among others as they offer a series of interesting case studies to help you win with Gen Z.

M&S marketing director, Sharry Cramond, will share the secrets behind the retailer’s success of socials, while the founders of Candy Kittens, Ed Williams and Jamie Laing, will divulge how they moved from reality TV to one of the UK’s fastest growing confectionery brands. Guests will also hear from Huel’s CEO, James McMaster as he explains the £560 million brand’s success in a growing and powerful online community.

Speakers from Ocado, JustEat, allplants and Zapp will also feature in a panel discussion, exploring the challenges and opportunities of catering to the ‘need it now’ generation in grocery.

Join us for the Spotlight Series on 20-24 March for a range of content - including an exclusive documentary series on food insecurity and Britain; and two virtual roundtables, exploring the future of food production and creating robust supply chains in the permacrisis.

The agenda also includes global consultants Edelman, as it shares research and insights which will help you reach and resonate with Gen Z. While youth-led activism movement, Bite Back 2023, will deliver its rallying cry for the industry to work alongside Gen Z-ers to influence meaningful change in health and sustainability.

Social media and marketing influencers and experts will also join in the conversation, including Sian Lenihan and Fats Timbo, to talk through the intricacies of creating social partnerships that work.

In a tight labour market, there will also be valuable sessions on how to recruit and retain Gen Z-ers.
