This year’s Foodex, the food and drink processing trade show, will host the launch of the 2022 Food Manufacture Excellence Awards (FMEAs).

The launch will take place at a drinks reception from 2pm to 3.15PM on Tuesday 6 July at the Foodex Centre Stage. Foodex is free to attend by members of the food and drink industry.

Visit the reception to celebrate with the latest victors and discover what it means to them and what it takes to claim a 2022 trophy.

For 20 years the FMEAs have been the Oscars of the food and drink manufacturing calendar, benchmarking personal and corporate excellence in manufacturing. In many cases, winners have gone on to become some of the most respected names in the industry.

FMEA winner

Hull-based meat processor Cranswick took home the top title, Food Manufacture Company of the Year, at the 2021 FMEAs. This year’s annual event took the form of a 1980s-themed virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with winners selected by a distinguished independent judging panel from a list of 50 finalists across 13 categories.

The reception is free to attend for visitors to this year’s Foodex show, the first UK in-person trade show for members of the food and drink industry post COVID-19 lockdown.

Exhibitors this year represent the gamut of food and drink industry innovation and technical expertise – from suppliers of the latest processing equipment and packaging machinery, to the latest experts in robotics and quality control.

Foodex exhibitors

This year’s show will see UCM Ultrasonics showcasing a wide range of cutting machines and components, hygienic flooring and drainage solutions from Kemtile and a range of vacuum sealing options from Pnemofore Vacuum Solutions to name just a few of the exhibitors.

A full programme of talks and presentations from experts across the food and drink industry will be available throughout the event – a full breakdown can be found here.

Foodex is part of a group of William Reed UK food and drink shows held at the NEC from July 5–7, including The Ingredients Show, Food and Drink Expo, National Convenience Show, Farm Shop and Deli Show and The Forecourt Show. Registering for Foodex allows attendants free access to all the other shows.
