Kerry Foods chief executive Duncan Everett has left the chilled foods manufacturer to head up egg processor Noble Foods.

Kerry Foods has promoted Nick Robinson to fill Everett’s role from his current position as managing director of consumer brands.

Commenting on Everett’s appointment, Noble Foods owner Sarah Dean said: “Duncan embodies the values that are extremely important to us as a family business.

“He is committed to fostering a proud culture while also encouraging teams to take risks and challenging them to look for new ways to connect and build relationships with our partners, from farmers to retailers, consumers and our business customers.”

History with Kerry Foods

Everett joined Kerry in 1995 through its graduate programme and went on to hold a number of senior finance positions – including chief financial officer – before moving on to management roles within the business. He went on to become chief executive in 2017.

On his time with the chilled foods manufacturer, he said: “Kerry Foods has been a fantastic and enjoyable experience, and the team and I have delivered robust results. I will always be thankful for the opportunities and confidence that the team had in me.

“I’m excited about the potential that Noble Foods holds and the role I can play in creating a sustainable future for the business and the brands under its wings.”

Departure during the pandemic

The announcement of Everett’s departure from Kerry to join Noble Foods came as food and drink firms continued to combat the threat of the coronavirus pandemic to their businesses.

Everett added: “It almost doesn’t bear saying – these are extraordinary times that has stress-tested the resilience of every person in the food industry.

“The stories that I’ve heard from the team at Noble Foods fill me with the confidence and excitement that we can drive the business forward despite the turbulent times the UK is currently facing.”

Meanwhile, Noble Foods has also bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of commercial director Jerome Saulet.
