Devil’s Wrath and Teriyaki – containing 19g and 18g, of protein per bag respectively – will join Trailhead’s existing range of Get Jerky branded snacks.
Trailhead’s artisan, handmade jerky snacks are produced with responsibly-sourced PGI Welsh beef and are gluten-free and typically lower in fat than other snack foods, said the company.
Direct to consumer
Available through 100 stockists across the UK, the manufacturer also offers free online delivery through its website, capitalising on the recent trend of producers that have adopted a direct-to-consumer model.
Commenting on the launch, sales manager Emma Morris said: “The extreme heat and adventurous flavours used in the Devil's Wrath jerky really represent an exhilarating challenge.”
Devil’s Wrath will join the ‘Hot Ones’ collection, containing a selection of Trailhead’s spicier jerky flavours – including Spicy Chilli and Hot Smoked Chipotle. Teriyaki will join a similar selection called the ‘Gourmet Ones’ collection, along with Black Garlic and Ginger.
Meanwhile, the run-up to Easter has seen a number of food and drink producers launch new products aimed at the consumers that are tired of chocolate eggs and want something a little bit more special.
