Bakery ingredients firm launches packing line

The initiative was revealed by the company’s CEO Carrie Jones-Barber and Steven Verweij, Dawn Foods president of Europe and Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific (AMEAP).

Dawn Foods, which is a key sponsor of the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards​​, manufactures a complete range of sweet bakery products, including dry mixes, bases and concentrates, at the Evesham site. The new modern and improved automated filling system, with robot palletisation, would provide it with enhanced effectiveness, leading to increased capacity for growth, it claimed.

The unveiling of the new line took place as Dawn Foods celebrated 30 years in business in the UK. It originally launched its European operations at Evesham.

100th birthday​

Dawn’s global business began in 1920 in the US and the company is already preparing for its 100th birthday next year.
