Refrigeration specialist Cold Store Rentals has launched a new division to focus on modular cold rooms.

Cold Store Distribution will supply modular cold rooms to clients in the UK and Ireland within one week, despatched from its Hampshire-based warehouse.

Cold Store Distribution will sell purely to trade only, with a primary target market of refrigeration and catering equipment companies. It is the sole UK and Ireland-based distributor of the Misa cold rooms range.

The company is already exploring a partnership with a potential sub-contractor to operate the Cold Store Distribution brand in Northern Ireland, opening up more of the domestic market.

Its new UK sales director Kevin Raworth joins the company from NRL Refrigeration, where he spent seven years as a partner. He has 35 years’ experience in refrigeration manufacturing sales.

New dimension

Cold Store Rentals managing director Steve Prior, together with director Tom Scott, welcomed Raworth to the business.

“We’re delighted to have Kevin as part of our team. He has an extensive knowledge of our industry and contacts as well as being hugely respected,” they said.

“Cold Store Distribution will add an exciting new dimension to our service offer – we feel that there is a real gap in the market. This is a niche we intend to fill and satisfy those clients who are looking for excellence in every aspect: product, delivery, installation and long-term maintenance.”

Cold Store Distribution will offer a bespoke and comprehensive service to the trade sector, tailoring its products according to its clients’ requirements.

Raworth added: “I am really excited about this new venture and look forward to getting in touch with the many successful trade businesses we have in this country.”

Meanwhile, last month, Clipper Teas owner Wessanen appointed Emma Vass as its new UK CEO. She joined the company from herbs and spices business McCormick’s, where she served as UK general manager for more than three years.
