WINNER: Kodi Gledhill, Coca Cola European Partners Wakefield
The Young Talent award has quickly become one of the most challenging categories for our judges. In a very competitive field, Kodi Gledhill stood out as a woman who is carving out a successful career in engineering.
After joining Coca-Cola European Partners’ Wakefield site two years ago, Kodi’s work as an electrical engineer has made a big contribution to an automation project that reduced carbon dioxide emissions and saved £14,000 over four years.
Kodi joined Coca-Cola European Partners’ (CCEP’s) Wakefield site in August 2015 and is now working for a Level 3 in electrical engineering, while studying at the local college.
Driven by her positive attitude and eagerness to learn, she has taken on more responsibility and made a big impact on several key projects. T
his includes the automation project, for which she acquired knowledge on motor inverter technology. She applied this to improve the system’s control.
