Training Programme of the Year
WINNER: Bakkavor Hitchin
Bakkavor Hitchen Foods triumphed in this category, after persuading the judges that the business truly understood the importance of driving long-term improvement through developing workforce skills and confidence.
Its staff engagement programmes – at all levels of the business – delivered impressive, practical and documented benefits to the bottom line.
The company identified a need for behavioural change at its factory, including a ‘step change’ in its performance and management abilities.
With the assistance of training provider CQM, it has endeavoured to teach people long-lasting skills that they could apply every day and give them a recognised qualification. The objective was to improve the culture in the factory. This has had a positive impact on financial results and increased productivity.
