SK Chilled Foods – which specialises in ethnic snacks and meal accompaniments – won top ranking in this category thanks to impressive track record of new product development.
The judges were also impressed by its manufacturing innovation and first-class customer service, in the highly competitive UK snacks market, estimated to be worth £119M.
The company’s sales achieved a record £60.1M in the year to September 2016. Core competencies include frying, kettle cooking, baking and sauce creation, backed up by investment in its production facilities and staff.
