Thermal transfer printers boost efficiency

Two new thermal transfer overprinters have been launched on to the market by Videojet. They were developed in response to needs identified from the company’s customers for increased line efficiency and reduced overall costs, while delivering high quality coding and marking accuracy and legibility.

The 6530 and 6330 systems are part of the DataFlex range. They are said to offer manufacturers flexibility via their modular design and feature Videojet’s novel iAssure technology.

This conducts common print quality spot checks in real time via image capture, analysis and comparison. It ensures print defects are identified automatically – reducing both waste and rework times, at the same time identifying significant recurring print defects.

“Videojet iAssure technology will help our customers consistently deliver high-quality images by detecting print defects caused by things like dirty printheads, uneven print surfaces or ribbon wrinkles,” says Heidi Wright, business unit manager.
