Sports brands now have more opportunities to create ‘highly marketable’ drinks
Agglomeration technology that enables powdered drink mixes and liquid beverages to be lecithin-free has been unveiled by Glanbia Nutritionals.

Based on an all-protein solution, BevEdge can be applied to whey-based, milk-based, casein-based and plant-based ingredients – including hydrolysates.

This flexibility provides both sports and lifestyle brands with significantly more opportunities to create highly marketable beverages, Glanbia said.

BevEdge plant-based proteins are claimed to provide better dispersibility, ease of flavouring, and better flavour expression than conventional plant-based proteins.

Glanbia said it gave powdered drink mix brands the opportunity to offer higher protein, lower fat products.
